I need to redo the brake lines on my Da
Well I have the single flare, but have a friend that said I can use his double if needed.
Might have to try the unibit, have a few of them.
single flair is the way to do it for the an fittings
has anybody else finished up a brake line tuck…im interested in seeing more pictures and ideas!!!
I wish, I’ve been working too much and haven’t time to touch my car. Will be ordering a double flare also, I don’t trust a single under high pressure.
Almost ready to redo my lines and was going to order the banjo fittings for the mc but i noticed that the holes on the master cyclinder are not macined for use with banjo fittings. Do yours leak at all? I`m not keen on that cast aluminum surface being used to seal a fitting. Did you file it or was it machined?
just started my brake line tuck the lines arent supported yet but i have them routed how i want.
how it looks from the top
and where its ran to the Proportioning Valve
If ur going all that way to get you engine bay looking nice and doing a brake line tuck u should probably rerun those lines going from the firewall to the master cylinder…you should make clean nice straight bends… Other than that bay looks good from what I can see with my phone
Just save yourself some trouble and buy new lines. Bending stock lines make them weak, and with new lines it will look much cleaner.
Bringing this one back with some info on a custom booster delete…done properly…
So after a long winter I finally had the chance to test my brake setup.
Little info -
Booster removed and replaced with a 3/4 6061 aluminum plate.
Honda 13/16 mc mounted using the top bolts for the booster.
Pedal ratio modified.
ssbc adj pushrod
Wilwood front bbk (4piston 12.2disc)
rear stock
wilwood props
Hers the skinny on the car. It isn’t a show car lol. I use it for lapping…only time it sees the street is to get to the track. Needless to say it has to be able to stop reliably and repeatedly for hours at a time without killing my leg.
Pedal feel and pressure. Feels just like a car with power brakes but without the initial lock up when the pedal is jabbed. Pedal feel is 100% predicable so thinking about rpm and engine vacuum before going for the pedal is a thing of the past. One thing that differentiates it from a booster setup is increased pedal travel. Id say about 20%. Il probably try a 15/16 to see what gives (travel vs pressure)
Overall - Its pretty kick ass, just like having a booster setup without the varying pedal pressure and I lost that 15 pound hunk hanging over the front axle.
Manual brakes that work…just gotta do it the right way
Crappy cell phone pic of the new setup
mine are still working great just to let everyone know…
does anyone know what the pieces are called that you use to plug the hardlines inot the banjo fittings that go to the MC?
I’m very interested in the booster delete. Thedb63 I sent you an email for some more info. Btw that engine bay looks awesome.

Interested in the brake booster delete w/ push rod. Lmk how much. Thanks
