Brake Pad Already Worn Out.

W’sup G2IC,

I have a 1992 Acura Integra LS. Last year in in MAY of 2010, I just replaced all 4 rotors, all 4 Brake pads for each side, and put in new Brake Fluid. Just last week, my rear right brake started to make a noise. I was checking it out and realized that my rear right brake pad is already worn out! How can that be? Everything was replaced with OEM parts from the Acura Dealership. Can anyone explain this to me?

Thanks…

Probably just the pins needed grease. If they aren’t greased properly they can cause it. Or the caliper piston is seized, usually happens when the dust boot around the piston is ripped and dirt gets in there. Check the boot, if its ripped replace the caliper. If its not odds are the pins need to be greased (silicon grease).

are both pads used? if it’s the inner pad that is used then your slider pin’s are seizing up. if both pads are used then your piston is seizing up and you’ll have to replace the caliper. this is usually the case.

as of right now, i can only see my outer pad. the outer pad is wearing out, so im pretty sure the inner pad is wearing out too. whats the cause? and for some reason evertime i make a left turn it makes the scraping noise.

Seriously?

Tale the caliper off and look at it. Its most likely what has been said.
