what kind of brake pads should i buy…i think my pads are all gone so i have to replace them…not to sure if i’ll have to resurface the rotors too…was wondering if the pads from NAPA would be all right? also how hard of a job is it to do…basic tools or will i have to get something special?
I would definately go with the Hawk Street pads in the front, stock in the rear. Its an easy job to replace the front. The rear requires you to screw the piston into the caliper.
try a search, in short, i like AEM pads
Generally, you should resurface your rotors everytime you do a brake job. You want the pads to wear in properly to prevent vibrations and squeals when you brake.
Project Mu…$80 bucks…
Best brakepads I have ever used in my life…worth every pennnnny…
I thought doing the front pads would be easy too, until I stripped a caliper bolt and then also had to order rebuilt calipers to replace my seized stock ones. Sometimes it’s worth having someone else do it to avoid these kinds of headaches.
