brakes

What’s a good brand for brake calibers (spelt wrong of course) and brake pads?

You can never go wrong with OEM Honda parts, but quality-built aftermarkets, are just as good, if not better. Fastbrakes, Baer and AEM, are just a few companies whom I would consider reputable.

From my own experience, Hawk HPS and AEM/Nissin pads are commendable. You might also want to upgrade your rotors. Companies such as Powerslotts, AEM and Brembo, come to mind. I don’t know how much stopping power you want, but for a REAL upgrade, I’d go with the AEM 4 piston caliper big rotor brake kit. 17" rims required. These are not overkill if safety is your concern, regardless if we have some puny motors.

You might see this often, if you don’t use it :search: . Please DO!

Hmmmm that’s a good name for a shop… OEMhondaParts.com

Brembo!!!
Yeah I want to get brembo rotors, AEM calipers and endless brake pads. All that’s gonna cost me a little bit too much out of my budget. The OEM honda ones are super expensive and aftermarket ones are way cheaper. My Acura dealership charges 207 for each front caliper…so I couldn’t even imagine what they would want for the back ones. I’ve heard that this any easy job to do yourself because the labour is expensive for this job apparently. Here we can buy aftermarket calipers for about 55 each. That’s a HUGE differerance.
