I broke my door handle about 2 weeks ago, and im just now getting around to replacing it, i already removed the black plastic cover and im having a hard time removing just the HANDLE, it broke right at the hinge, the part where its half plastic, half die cast, i wanna remove a good one from a junked car… do i have to remove the whole door panel?
which handle broke the outer or the inner?I have a black inner 2dr driver side handle lmk if you need it.
yeah bro, the inside one is the one thats broke… how much shipped to 60505, ill buy it from ya if u can tell me how to install it…
door panel doesn’t have to be removed. but u will need a phillips screwdriver, and a pocket screwdriver, or pick, to remove the lil rods that move the lock and the latch for door.
15 dollers shipped lmk.
yeah i had a similar problem with my 90 teg except the plastic lock piece snapped off the rod. it’s on the same mechanism as the door handle. there should be 3 phillips screws holding it in place and then you just have to disconnect the rods and take the handle apart or you can just get a whole assembly so you don’t have to take it all apart.

happened to me too haha… on both handles, damn cold… I just used string to create a tight enough lever… I couldn’t find the plastic things anywhere, didn’t bother going to the junkyard and stealing them haha…
Im not sure how you did it without taking your panel off… but for the amature I would suggest taking the panel off… its like 5 screws and (if you have manual windows) a clip.
