I don’t know if it’s just here in Florida, but there are a TON of cars driving around with awful bubbly rear tint. Why does this keep happening and only on the rear window? Is it cheap tint? Wouldn’t it be difficult to look out of via the mirror? Why not just take it off?
Either cheap film or they had it done eons ago and it’s just finally had it with the heat. Rear window is so big and angled a little more direct with mid-day sun. The VWs are going to get ceramic 35% on the sides and rear, and whatever the clearest the shop has for ceramic for the windshield.
Allegedly ceramic lasts longer, and definitely blocks the heat. No idea if the lasts longer is true of course, but meh.
And whether it’s difficult to see out depends on the tint level and if the cops are parked wit der lights off. 
I had pretty dark on the 350Z and it wasn’t a big deal for the rearview.
“Cops with der lights off” should be made into a meme.
