Budget Oil Feed Line - Tee off from the firewall, NOT the back of block

Hey xeno (or anyone)- I’m about to make an order from mcmaster (thanks to you). Got a question for ya- All of your fittings are 1/8" yet the PTFE hose assembly is 3?16" That does fit the 1/8" fittings, right? I’m assuming that follows the ID/OD pipe size chart thing. Thanks!

i believe the hose is 3/8" but the coupling is 1/8"

3/16" is the hose size that you would use to fix a -3an female hose end to…it comes with the fitting and the -3an to 1/8" NPT union already attached the hose.

***Remember, use teflon tape on NPT fittings but not on -AN fittings

so i just realized something about welding the oil return on the oil pan. i dont have gas for my mig (+150) so i cant weld aluminum, and most if not all AN ones are Al. then brass has to be brazed, and i ran out of acetylene gas ($25 refill). i cringe at using jb weld. dont know if i like having it anything but welded. what to do…

Buy a steel AN plug…

very bottom of the page…

ah thx. any idea what they look like?

why not use a bulkhead fitting? no welding

bulkhead = just screw on nut and tighten with teflon tape? i bought two welders and i want to use em damnit :stuck_out_tongue:

They look like the steel thing in this pic with the hex nut on the one side and the -10 ‘nipple’ on the other. Just above the ‘bly’ in “assembly”

xenocron are those lines actually -AN lines, but with npt adapters like the ones in this thread Oil Feed line - build it yourself for 45 bucks - Honda-Tech - Honda Forum Discussion
his pics dont work anymore but i saved em. if so, its a great deal for versatility.

btw for -AN and npt sizes and conversions etc. http://http://www.g2ic.com/forums/showthread.php?t=74922]

oh ya and dont forget you can just pickup the guage adapter kit from autozone for 5bucks which comes with the bspt to npt adapter and a few other fittings as well.

Dual Outlet Fitting

it solves a lot of problems

eh, the tuner toys fitting works ok, but for $46 for the WHOLE FEED LINE KIT…you cant beat McMasterCarr parts

actually i can. i’m getting oil feed and return lines for 4600 bucks, and they come with a free full-race turbo kit including a GT35R turbo. :stuck_out_tongue:

Yeah but that just isnt ghetto enough for me :jerkoff:

If you can post a parts list to make the GT35R from McMaster parts and bends for the Full Race mani…then we could talk

nice stuff man…gotta do my oil lines this weekend

why has all the prices gone up?

look at the original date on this thread (the date for the first post). it’s 14 months old. there’s a little thing called “inflation” that kicks in every now and then.

damn i didn’t even check that
