Build help please

I need some help here I’m really confused. I went to the track the other day to see what my car would run with my current setup and the fastest i ran was a 16.5 in the 1/4 mile. I was expecting to run faster. Could something be wrong with my setup? Here’s a list of the parts.

Skunk2 68mm IM

A1 transmission
Chipped ecu

Suspension:
Megan Racing pro street coilovers for a DC2
DNA strut bars and tie bars

Tires:
Rota GT3 16x7
Falken Ziex 912 205/40/16

1990 Acura Integra GS 0-60 mph 8.8 Quarter mile 16.4

That is what is listed as the (stock) time on an Integra. Given that your motor is 21 years old, I wouldn’t call that a bad time.

The SRI/TB/IM aren’t going to net a whole bunch of power unless you’re tuned.

By ‘chipped’ what do you mean? an eBay chip? Xenocron? An actual dyno tune? If you’re just running a generic joe-schmoe tune, then that is going to be your biggest issue.

Is it your first time at the track? If it is, you are setting your expectations too high.

You haz valid point.

Yeah that’s true. Its pretty much a chip tuned with my setup. I really want to get a stand alone ecu or something that I can actually tune. And will my clutch come in to to play at all? And yes it was my first time at a track.

A lot of things come into play at the track not just one component. Suspension setup, spring rates, tire pressure, tires, reaction time to the countdown light…etc.

You have to focus overall and spend more time at the track practicing. Adding stuff on for power isn’t going to do much until you can launch properly and get everything to the wheels with proper traction to the ground.

My rt was a .3 and my 60ft was a 2.2 my tire psi was set at a 33
