i just put my 16" wheels on. they have 205 40 16 tires. before these i had steelies. ever since i have put the rims on, the ride is sooo bumpy and it seems every part of the interior of the car rattles like crazy. it was never like this on the steelies… i am lowered on tokico blues and eiback sportlines. this is awful… is this a common problem on gen2s?

I went back to 15s from 16s and I still get some rattling.
I’m on tokico blues and Eibach Pro springs.
Also, if your interior has been taken apart before, it may not be reassembled properly.
Well what do you expect? You are going from a 60-series tire down to 40-series.
The rough ride is to be expected.
BTW, you should have gone with a 205/45/16 tire since that is closer to stock ratio. And the ride would have been better.
spikey: yeah i know, but these tires came on the rims. and they are basically brand new falken azenis. so i am not gonna ditch them just yet. just wanted to make sure this is a normal thing on da integras. i had a 98 gs that was lower than this, and on cheap ebay coils. it didnt rattle nearly this much and the ride was muchhh smoother. i love the da, and how it looks so i will bear with it, i just wish i could lessen the severity of the bumps cuz damn it gets violent! my gf can’t even sleep in the car anymore cuz her head vibrates so much against the seat haha
DA’s aren’t really that smooth/soft to begin with, which is the problem. Factor in that the car is 17 years old, every part is worn out, which also doesn’t help.
You might be able to trade or sell your tires and get 45-series.
spikey: oh no doubt, i know wear and tear is a part of it. even on steelies, it rattles more than my 98 did on 17’s. but thats part of the package i guess. just didnt know for sure, but now i do. da’s are way better to me than the gen3, except for 1 thing. the hks hipower exhaust that i have looks wayyyy nicer on the gen3… oh well, just nit-picking
