Ok so i left work yesterday and my oil light was on… I thought that was weird because the oil was changed like 900 miles ago. I pulled off and the dipstick read no oil at all. bout a couple quarts and got it back to the place that did my oil. I really have no idea what it could be to make it burn that much oil that fast. No leaks on the car whatsoever. Does not smoke at all. It is like oil disappeared. And not to mention the oil looked so dirty like it had not been changed in thousands of miles. I filled it up and am gonna check it in 500 to see where it is at.
Anything guys ?
Seems like the place that changed your oil messed up on you. Wouldn’t go back there.
yeah I wouldn’t go back to that spot anymore, that’s why its always good practice to inspect or check up on any work done to your car by any shop or tech… Once you drive off without inspecting the work then its all on you and its almost impossible to prove they’re at fault. Even if it was a simple innocent mistake its your engine that takes the fall so just keep a cautious eye out.
I always check my fluids, oil level and color and for any leaks of any kind, that way I can inspect everything and make sure they actually do the job and replace my oil filter and tighten it right.
(I sometimes find the drain plug and filter loose and seeping oil).
