Just wanted to make sure that everyone saw this email from Nic. And yes, I’m bringing extra oil, Mobil 1 5w20. Hopefully I won’t need it though!

[I]Hello Everyone!
There are only 2 days left before the season ending Redline Time Attack event at Buttonwillow Raceway! Registration is filling up very quickly in these last few days, and we expect to have a packed field of drivers. If you know anyone who has expressed interest in driving at this event, please spread the word to them that they should register soon, or risk being blocked from the event when it sells out.
Also, a note to all of you coming to the track. Buttonwillow Raceway charges a $10 entry fee per person coming through the gate. We tried to fight this and negotiate free entry for our participants (including team and family members), but the track would not back down. This $10 entry fee does not go to Redline, and is not shared with Redline in any way. Those of you who have been attending Open Track Days at tracks in SoCal are probably accustomed to having to pay the $10 entry fee (Willow Springs charges this as well), so this is not news to you. However, we fealt we should send this email out as a “heads up” to everyone coming out to the track.
We will be charging $20/person for spectator entries at this event. If you are bringing family or a “crew” with you to the event, please have them present with you when you arrive to the gate in the morning. This way they will only be charged $10 for entry. We will have two seperate lines for cars coming into the facility, one for Spectators and one for Racers & Teams. If you are participating in the event, please use the “Racer” line. If you are only coming out to watch the event, please use the “Spectator” line. We will have the lines clearly marked with signs.
If you will only be attending as a spectator on Sunday, the admission fee will be $15. Racers (including family and team members) who are only showing up on Sunday will be charged the $10 entry fee.
If you have any questions for us, please dont hesitate to call or email us.
20.00 if you are a spectator, or if you have a lot of people in the car and your the driver, just say they’er your “team” so they can get in for 10.00 bucks each.
D,
Ya, that is a good idea. But anyone claiming to be in the posse with a Rota hat just isn’t believable. Hell, we could pack G2IC in the trailer and roll through the gates.
That’s the Rota MOTORSPORTS edition hat, the one you get if you promise the reason you’re buying a cheap and ugly hat is because you’re spending o0ber cash on your mad tyte race car engine that will smoke all y’allz wit’ real wheels JDM hard parking machines.
Or maybe I bought the hat because I want to be like all the cool kids who can actually afford the hobby? Either way, G2IC blue tape track meet tomorrow!
Oh yah, my DA now has a Bride seat and helmet in it and I’ll be rolling in with $5000 in camera equipment… if those fuckers try to make me pay $20 to get in saying that I’m not a team member I’m going to tell them that I didn’t cross the border, the border crossed me!
looks like when this was welded, not enough filler was used. when welding aluminum you have to use alot of filler, if not, it contracts and results will end up with cracks… you can see as it dips in a little, and isnt even level with the rest of the metal.
