Button Willow Track pics

Well…IT WAS COLD.
Vern, Duy, Robbie, Craig and I all camped at the track friday night, and we all froze are ass off. from 10-midnight it was alright, it was cold, but nothing a blanket or another jacket wouldn’t cure…then 2 and 3 am came around, felt like it dropped to 25 degrees, from the 30-32 degrees between 10 pm to midnight.(will never do that again!!!)

but it was still good times. here are the pics from me on the track, there are more out there, but i wil wait for those with pics to post. for now here are mine.

was having a great track day, car felt great, brakes were great. On the 2nd to last session, my oil pump gave out and the car blew on the final turn before the pit. there was oil all on the inside of the hood and oil in my spark plugs and my timming belt was stiffer than hugh heffner on viagra. But other than that it was a great track day.

those that actually raced…Duy, J, Nino, Me and Pat

I can’t wait until someone posts pics of the 4-door

1188 pictures.

I took 4500 but deleted those that were obviously unusable. I’ll get to them over the next few days, but I can say from my initial browse-through, I got at least a few excellent shots of everyone on the track. There’s a slight possibility these might be published so I might have to hold on to them until I know for sure its OK to release them.

So many stories, so many memories. It was great seeing everyone together again, and also at the track. Wish you guys could’ve stayed for Sunday, we had an awesome time and there was some great racing going on.

Loo, sorry we couldn’t help but we’re glad you got home safe. Same for Nino, hope everything works out and you guys are back on the road ASAP.

Thanks to ALL of the So Cal guys who in one way or another contributed to Patrick getting his car finished and tuned for this event. I’m glad all of you could be there to hear that thing scream into VTEC for the first time down the front straight. 222.9 whp, 153 ft-lb, 2:06.6 and second place modified FF class Time Attack.

Like I said, so many stories, with time I’m sure they’ll be told. Great weekend.

thanks D, and big thanks to you guys for providing the tow home, and not having to pay 280.00 extra out of my pocket, the same to colin…thank you guys

Can’t wait to see the pics D and I’m hoping that there’s one with me in the dirt. :cross:
If you see this, congrats Pat. I wish I could have stuck around to at least check you out on Saturday. Right when you started running, the tow truck showed up to haul me out of there. I did get a chance to hear your car entering the front straight from our pit area and it sounds awesome.
Thanks for everything guys and I can’t wait until we can do it again.
