buying a new head for ls/vtec

hey, im a noob when it comes to the mechanical end of the car, unless its installing audio, doing bodywork, or like the everyday shit like brakes, struts, shit like that im worthless…

im gonna do an ls/vtec on my car which has 135k on the block…
when im buying a vtec head, what do i need to look for, questions i need to ask, ect. so im not buying a piece of shit. thanks alot

bump- need some tips i got a good deal on a head.

run a compression and maybe leakdown test on your existing motor. Make sure it’s worthy of the upgrade. You need to do a shit ton of research on how you want this done and have all the parts before hand. Don’t forget the external oil feed and the light machining involved
