calling all axles experts..

I hear knocking so I figure its my cv-boots. Is there places where I can redo boots, or do I need to buy new axles?

You can take off the axles and replace the boots along with new grease, but for a little more $$, you can just buy a remanufactured axle.

  • New axles or over 200 ea - You can remanufactured axles for anywhere from 60- 100 ea depending on quality and warranties… Many times replacing axles solve more problems then you think… I just replaced my right one yesterday, my left a couple months ago do to a vibration concern… Vibrations under acceleration load are now all gone… Sometimes if your c.v. boot is torn for awhile - just replacing the boots with new grease dosen’t fix the problems already done…And also, if you choose a “cheaper” axle company, and you have a drivability problem later on, don’t count out the “newly” replaced axle… Sometimes the rebuilds don’t last long also… My left lasted 2 1/2 years total…(thank god for previous owner receipts.) Hope that helps dood…

thanks. Do you know which axles I need if I have b16a swap in the car? Do I get 90 Integra RS axles or the b16a axles?

cant u just use the b16’s? i know engine tranny works, so why not axles? im not positive. but i would think that they would be good, since they are made for a b16…

any comments?
