i have some collisions damage on the right rear of my car. how hard would it be to repair this. i can get a new talilight, and all of the body lines/frame seem fine. ill try to put a picture up. I took a welding class as school and would say im pretty good at it (oxy, arc, Mig, Tig). One of my brothers had 2 years of autobody in college and i have a friend with a lift and a welder. would it be worth the hassle to weld/bondo?/prime/paint this damage or will i just be wasting my time producing something that wont look that good?
without a pic, we cant help you.
And even with a pic, no body will know if you can do a good job until you try it…
Definitely go for it. I so badly care more for the mechanics than looks that I literally sand down rusting surface on my car and just draw over it with a matched paint thingy from Dupli-color.
There is always banging out from inside, or drilling a hole, inserting the hook and pulling. Restore whatever you can then bondo the motherfucker and repaint.
And of course the best is what you mentioned. I suppose when properly done, the moethod you intend on using will geat the best results, perhaps a very well done job could come out showcar grade.
well i most likely will ill wait till spring and i should be getting a car for free i can sell for $$…long story
