can you use a one piece header on a da

well my question is pretty much in the title i searched and didnt come up with much stuff.

Another question do you get any power gain between and aftermarket one peice then you would with an aftermarket 2 peice header?

only if you plan to remove the motor or lower cross member every time you need to take it off or put it back on.

wrong.

notch the xmember and it can be used. motor doesn’t have to be removed.

search next time.

Notching will depend on whether or not the one piece header is 4-2-1 or 4-1.

If it is a 4-1, then notching needs to be done.

Helps to find out first what type of header he is putting on before saying something needs to be removed or notched.

the performance will be the same with a one piece and two piece. a two piece will just be 2437092734x easier to install/remove.

Have fun with this one. Hope you are a good welder, everyone that I know that has done this has had problems down the road with the cross member breaking, Honda Designed it how they did for a reason.

then they notch it too much. i ran one for years with no issues.

the performace will NOT be the same,id take the 4-1 over any 4-2-1header/

No notching

Yeah, I’m probably crazy, but I got my one piece header in without notching the crossmember, or pulling the engine.

Undo the front motor mount then use a HUGE bar and some wood.

Bend, stuff, voila.

It’s been in there for about two years now.

By the way, it’s easier with a second person.
