Hey, I had some time off work today. Wanted to get the car on all 4 wheels and moving.

Ran into some problems with the EF Manual Rack. It’s not mounting right…

  1. Got ES bushings w/the custom shims…my original da bracket does not want to sit flush.
  2. I got the spacer on the rear side of the rack but it sits to vertical.

Soo i just added a few more washers and everything is now in place.

WTH??? :gunleft::mad::rant: i’m off the site for a few years only to come back and find this yahoo from Cali, parading around using my ‘Red Rocket’ nickname … where the hell were all the mods when he registered ??? …listen here Buddy … you soooo damn lucky that this car is coming out good (so far) and it looks like you know what you getting into… i’m gonna hold off till the entire thing is done … and “IF” the car comes out halfway decent… i’ll let you keep the “RR” … now that you under pressure… carry on … i’m watching you Sir !!

Since their will be room after i toss out the seat belt retractor and automatic rails. I wonder how much weight i just saved? hmmm…

Hey man great build. Do you mind sharing where you found the seat belts and about how much did it cost you? I have some racing seats in want to get in my car but I can’t fit them in with the center console. I had to make a bracket for the seatbelt to hook on to the seat and when I went to install it, the seatbelt housing hits my center console. It seams like these are a must if you want recaro style seats.

I bought mines local from darussianone… price ranges anywhere from $200-250 dollars.

My opinion…if you’re going with racing seats i would match em up with a “seat belt harness” like Sparco or Takata.
