Can't spell Honda with out DA! (introduction/build)

i love it…and i’m jealous…i wanna hate, but the wheels are too epic lol

Haha thanks, im really happy with them. Too bad i cant wear these everyday.

Solved my Hasport rear mount & header clearance. All i needed was a portable angle grinder.
all 3 mounts are finally bolted down!

No test pipe needed??

Subframe clearance.

Follow me on instagram

not much, just wanted to share my valve cover pic haha

Hybrid Racing oil cap & DC5-R dipstick.

Fuel setup COMPLETED.
at first my line from HR wasn’t lining up to my filter…

took a dremel to it.

i was suppose to have more done yesterday but how are you not gonna pass up this engine at the junk yard.

This CRV just came on to the lot. The fire did its damage.
I took my time to inspect it…debating if i wanted this short block. all the plastic and hoses from up top was melted. the harness was melted down to its wire.
So me and my friend allan removed all 4 mounts, disconnected the cable from the transmission to the shifter, removed the axles, the cat was already chopped off, and it was ready to be pulled out.
called in a friend with a truck, Sal helped us removed the head and transmission from the block and loaded it up.
$175 for a complete K24a1 bottom end!! oil was still inside the crank, and all the cylinder walls had normal wear.

The plan is to daily the hell out of my k20, build this in my spare time. im talking about full rebuild w/ all out internals, sleeved, I beam rods, low compression pistons ;), the works. i already have the K20a2 head and the chassis will be K READY! but…thats not till 2013

Where is the like button!?!?

:hi5:

i’ve been looking for one…the mods need to make it appear lol

Holy hell… When you told me you did “a lot” to it since the last time I saw your DA, That was a under statement… You did a ton of shit to it. Good job… Was good seeing you on Sunday.

Thanks guys!

DarkDB1: LOL i told you, i couldn’t explain everything when we met…i basically said: “just check out my build thread” haha and i’m glad you did!

Jumped on a rare Benen Industries k20 intake manifold cover piece!

Thank you!
More updates coming up this weekend.

heater hoses installed (using K-tuned big to small hose adapter)

I then moved on to the axles…Thought it was going to be plug and play with Karcepts hub. The driver side axle was too long and the passenger axle came up short…After having a long phone call with Brian from Karcepts we then decided to swap out the “inner joints” and voila!
Packed with new syn grease & swapped out by my co-worker/friend Macky!!
Instagram shot lol:

Traction bar clearance.

drools mannnnn that undercarriage is just…#moneyshot

Thank you!!

Update; moved everything off the passenger floor.

hangs a little. but you can only see it at this angle. seated and out side view is clear.

Hybrid Racing Silicone radiator hoses;
Lower was trimmed

Upper hose…2" too long…

The last thing i have to worry about in the engine bay and its not gonna work, im debating if i should cut 2" off the center and install an adapter. what to do what to do:think::violin:

Amazing work!

Edit!
After having a quick bite to eat and contemplating about my upper hose fitment issue. I remember someone here on the forum using a stock radiator hose, went to the garage and dug up through my discarded pile of hoses, and found the stock OEM rsx hose. Slipped right in WITHOUT any trimming!

I’ll most likely switch out the clamps. But hey at least this would hold me over until i decide on what brand has the best fitment.
If i can’t go with the silicone ill take OEM any day!

Next up is the intake.

Thanks dude!

good progress man!

Thanks!
slow weekend, my buddy sal got carried away with polishing parts.

Top portion of the radiator

assembled and torqued down the wheels…after thinking long and hard. i realized they weren’t for me…
