haha you dont know how many times i wanted to sale everything and go back to a B-series.
Update:
CRX/EF Vehicle speed sensor. Pretty sure I’m going to have a CEL for having it disconnected…ill figure it out later. (any information on this will greatly be appreciated! Thanks in advance)
Treated the sub frame with “High Temp” paint…being that it will be so close to the header.
can’t forget…i have to thank my friend Eddie from Break neck customs for my welding needs.
Ordered a few new things from Acura. DA stuff, K20 stuff and a DC coolant reservoir (idea inspired by Teg Youngin)
Black coil pack cover > The traditional type r grey coil cover
Interior: manual seat belts COMPLETE! took the time to clean every single item before assembling the interior, my gf was kind enough to lend a hand
Hybrid racing shifter box and cables installed as well, quality on this piece is amazing! easy to install too
starter and alternator is now squared away.
time to assemble the front end!
Things to do:
*wiring :thud:
*pick up my wheels from Valley Plating.
*custom fit the header - exhaust / fabricate the rear transmission mount bracket.
*order one fuel line from Hybrid racing.
*order heater/radiator hoses.
*order a few small things from Acura.
*adjust suspension height and off to alignment.
did you use your pillars from the automatic belts?[/QUOTE]
nope, only the jdm and usdm pillars are grey. but they’re jdm. The passenger side grab handle is on the left (driver) side now, and that lil hook behind the driver is now on the other side…behind my right seat (passenger)
ok, i’ve been mulling over getting these seatbelts that’s on this forum…the pillar thing has been holding me back i’m considering getting them and just keeping the auto belts…it’d be a ‘gap’ but the rubber would cover, in essense, although i know the JDM/CDM would clean it up better. but having a DB1 minimizes my options on color with the pillar
i’d have everything apart and just give it to the guy i have that does my welding, or better yet have it done at work when it’s slow to get it welded and what not.
i might just drill a hole in the usdm pillars…i’m totally unsure. i’d rather manual belts, especially how my belts are now w/ the EP3 seats i have

ep3 seats are dope, sucks how you have to have them with auto seat belts…my advise, get the correct pillars and carpet so you know where to drill.
not sure how i missed this thread! build is coming along very nicely, man. keep up the good work.
quick question for you, btw. with not having a speed sensor working correctly, you won’t have VTEC. Or, is this not accurate with K-series motors/ECU. I know if my VSS wasn’t working correctly, I’d have none of that high cam fun. Either way, build is looking stellar. big props.

Thanks for noticing man! You are right about the vss cel issue. Not having vss would have held my car back…i looked it up and basically the speedo cable sends a signal from my gauge cluster and too the ecu. Your suppose to find the “speed” wire from the cluster or ecu and have my PRB k20a2 ecu read it. Luckily the rywire adapter harness had a loose wire that was optional for me to hook it up!! Which went straight to plug b/16.
A little update:
Messed around under the dash today. All my wiring is now taken care of.
My legit alternator cable i whipped up.
Soldered and connected everything. Next up is to hide/re-position; the fuse box, ecu, adapter harness and all its connetors away from the passengers feet.
And then moved on too my pedals. Throttle & Clutch cable were installed and adjusted
The RHD clutch cable was way too short and i had already tossed out my original cable…i had a legit excuse to buy a new one haha
How it looks installed:
sorry for being lazy and for using a camera phone.
Yea i like the EP3 seats, but truthfully, ideally, i’d LOVE to just have a COMPLETE MINT oem interior w/ manual belts. right now i have aftermarket black carpet in there…it works w/ the EP3 seats up front…i’m thinking of sending the seats to get reupholstered same style as the EP3 seats are now, suede black but w/ a blue stripe that matches the interior. i guess i’ll do some pillar searching and just wait…i guess
