car bogs then dies.....

need some help…I have a 92 gsr recently did a tune up changed all belts (timing belt included), water pump, fuel filter, fuel pump, spark plugs and wires, cap, rotor, and ignition coil ; but car still bogs then dies out. I start the car. Then i’m driving down the hill going around 2 rpm then bogs and dies. I can’t start the car for about 10 mins then it starts no problem… I bought the fuel pump from napa and compared it to my stock pump and it’s noticeably (sp?) smaller I don’t know if this is what’s causing it I just want to get this figured out so I don’t have to go around buying random parts… Sorry if there’s already a thread like this, but maybe someone has/had the same problem…Thanks

check for codes. the fact that it needs to cool off before restarting sounds electrical. it should throw a code

threw code 15…but i tested everything and it checks out…

I had a accord that did that real bad it was the o2 sensor

yea was looking around on this forum and some others…people say o2 sensor, the fuel system, or ignition system. But i changed basically everything except the o2 sensor so i’m gonna check that out since my ignition system tested fine

sorry I don’t mean to thread jack , but my car dies when i come to a complete stop I own a 1990 Ls Integra with a B20B engine…I have already replaced the distributor, new spark plugs, new fuel pump and filter cleaned the IACV, throttle body and I don’t find any vaccum leaks I am stumped and what is causing my car to die when I come to a complete or rapid stop.Any suggestions greatly appreciated

check your main fuel relay, my da did the same thing and that was the problem.

I am curretnly having this problem. I start the card, idles fine. Whne I drive and get ready to come to a stop it dies. I have to wait the 10 minutes then it starts up and idles fine. I have already replaced the distributor and igniter. Fuel pump is new. I can’t figure it out. Any help is appreciated.

Could be your ignitor and not your ignition coil… If u test it it may pass the tests but after driving so long it gets hott and overheats which is why u have to wait about 10 to 20minutes before starting it back up…i hope when u replaced the ign coil you applied the special grease for it…same goes for ignitor

so true I had the same issue and replaced everything i could, after I had a new ignition system my last stop was the ignitore even though it tested good in 3 different shops. I replaced it and th eprobleme went away…
