Car having difficulty shifting at higher rpms

my car is an lsv turbo with a 92 gsr cable trans, rebuilt with oem internals and synchrotech syncro’s, I am running a competition super single clutch with super heavy pressure plate. Recently my clutch cable snapped (it had 280k miles on it lol) and I replaced it with a new stronger one, I also installed a clutch stop to prevent from pulling the clutch too far out lol

my car shifts like butter at lower rpms (2500-7000rpms) but closer to redline (9000-9500rpms) it almost feels like my shifter hits a brick wall until the rpms drop slightly and then it will go in and be fine. I am leaning towards my clutch is not fully disengaging and I should adjust the cable/clutch stop, but I was curious if anyone else has had a similar issue. Thank you

This is what most of my friends say, but mostly it is because thats what they’re familiar with. What is the true difference that makes it so much better?
