sure you have all vacuum lines hooked up/checked?
OT. you going FI?

yeah im going to go over all the vaccume lines and plans are to go s/c but as for the tick im going to go over the valves and see if that fixes it
yeah im going to go over all the vaccume lines and plans are to go s/c but as for the tick im going to go over the valves and see if that fixes it
that tick youre hearing could be the sound of the injectors. mine does the same thing. theres a rubber grommet kinda deal tht they sit on top of and after time it can wear away or dry and crack which leads to th ticking. as far as the idle… check the throttle cable…it could be pinched somewhere, keeping thethrottle plate from closing all the way. you have it swapped into a DA? iv heard of the cable sticking before with this swap.

ok ill pick up some of those grommets and hopefully that is it and yeah its in a da and yeah ive ran into the throttle cable sticking problem but it was a high idle before and after unsticking the cable well more or less its was the spring on the tb itself that sticking but i did check over the cable too thanks

Ticking could be out of spec valve lash if you didn’t check it. Could also be a bad bearing in the water pump if you didn’t change it. My first Integra had sat for several years before I bought it and while it was very low mileage, it had a tick like that since day one. I always assumed it was a bearing in the distributor but I eventually changed the distributor hosing out and it didn’t go away. Seemed weird because it was loudest next to the distributor. Turns out that while I did change my timing belt when I first bought the car, I didn’t change the water pump. It seized up on me at about 130k miles. Talk about learning a lesson the hard way!

If you didn’t bleed the coolant system, that can lead to high idle. Obviously so can vacuum leaks.

tick is still there alrdy relashed the valves but will check them again and all injectors have new rings and gromets
