Car lags 0-3k rpm

I just changed the spark plugs, cap rotor.

Morning cold start, the idle would just drop unless i gas it to keep it started and running so i can warm up the engine.

When I gas it half way or on normal take off, the car would sound and run like its only powered by 2 or 3 cyl. through 0-3k rpm only. After 3k rpm it would run fine like normal.

When I turn on the A/C, the idle is rough and would drop, causing the car to die out if im at a stop. I have to gas it a little to make sure the car idle doesnt drop.

I dont know if this has to do with the problem but my distributor bearing is messed up, I have a brand new distributor on its way.

Any help would be great!

So if the A/C is off, the car would idle fine after warm up but still have the 0-3k rpm problem.

could be your fitv. on warm up, the pcm dumps more fuel and the fitv speeds idle accordingly. if the idle is low on warm up, you’re gonna be running rich. probably cause misfiring. also, have a look at your iacv. there is a testing procedure. could be the cause of the low idle w/ac

x2 on the FITV and IACV. Also I would check your voltage output from your alternator to make sure that with all of accessories on its not much below 14 volts.

And I think your on the right track with a new disty.
