My car was lowered 2 inches on cheap matrix coilovers on stock shocks. It rode pretty good and wasnt real bouncy, but then i decided that i wanted to go a tad bit lower in the front because it looked higher than the backend. I turned the coilovers down alittle bit but the front doesnt seem like it wants to go any lower no matter how many times i turn it! I took it for a ride and it was really bouncy and im hearing a clunking noise over every bump i hit. It feels like it doesnt have enough travel.
I tryed trimming the bumpstop down alil bit but it didnt really help. Should I raise it back up or can i just completely take the bumpstop off? Will this fix my problem or hurt my struts?
That’s what happened to mine… previous owner installed 2.5" springs which then sagged and then removed the bumpstops entirely… pretty much killed any chance of a decent ride…
put Ground Controls in the front, set them to just as low… the spring rates help a lot to keep the car from botomming, but due to the low height & soggy shocks it still hits on big bumps… I’m hoping that some nice konis will fix that entirely and my low travel isnt going to be a problem… I like how the car looks all nice and low way too much to want to raise it up again…
