ever since i had my car, it always shakes alot on acceloration. ive replaced the axels. although its been like a year the cv’s are starting to click ): toothpick axels. anyways, my motor mounts are good. its not my ball joints because ive tested those. when im cruising on the freeway it doesnt shake and when im coasting it doesnt shake at all. its just on acceloration. ive seen lots of topics and threads about this but no answers
do a search. bad in board cv joint is usually the cause. i just replaced some junk ass autozone axles because of this.
time to buy some raxles axles.
): dang. i got the autozone axels with the life time warranty but i dont want to have to throw that junk on my car again if its just going to go out again. what do you guys recommend? so i need new axel? do i need a new half shaft too?
if youre low on money, autozone will work…just dont buy the remanufactured ones, get the brand new ones. mine used to shake like crazy untill i changed it, of course to the brand new autozone ones.
is your car lowered? my front struts where blown and it caused annoying vibration violent shaking when i accelerated or turn. so check your struts
My stupid CV’s are also Reman’s from Autozone. I get the same thing and they are creaking and clicking when I turn, only happens on the drivers side. Cruising they are quiet. I think the real issue is that they remove that rubber ring that acts like a stabilizer or balancer to prevent the vibration. Thinking of just tossing them out and finding a junkyard set for $50. I’ve had some good luck going that way or I may just suck it up and by a brand new OEM.
mine shacks also! but I know its cv’s, just too cheap to change em.
okay, so I just learned and never would have thought that this would be the reason for vibration/shuddering.
Vibration or shudder during acceleration may indicate a problem with the inner joint or a bent shaft.
I definitely have a loud clicking noise when I make a hard right or left turn. Continuous “clicking” sounds on sharp turns usually indicates a worn outer joint.
Usually the sound is loudest on the joint opposite of the turning direction.
Thanks Raxels…think I’ll be giving you guys a call for a quote.
