Car shocks me when i get out.

So the past week, after i get out of my car and go to lock it. i get a pretty nasty shock on my hand anywhere i touch the car. it only does it once. then i doesnt shock me. its like there is something built up and shocks me, then its done.

thats so funny lol,

anyways, probably just a bad ground, unless your car has been rubbing its tires on carpet while your not around

  Good anti-theft device if you could leave it charged all the time.

its ur climate or something. they make ground strips for them theyre kinda ugly but they hang from the bumper. keeps it from building static and shocking the hell out of you. ask anyone in canada theyll know where to get them.

When is dei going to get the idea: Car Tazers… a great addition to any alarm install.

was there a storm in your area recently?

i’ve had this happen before as well, a bolt of lightning struck less then a block away from my car, for about a week to a week and a half afterwards if i touched the metal body i would get a shock

my not be your problem but an idea

maybe it just doesnt like you? lol

Get thicker or rubber soles on your next pair of shoes. This only happens to me when I wear my dress shoes, hehe.

the propellers are generating static electricity as it turns through the air. make sure your g2 is grounded before touching it.

man that is HILARIOUS! lol sorry man i dont mean to joke about it but its funny. its like ur g2 is the camaro from the movie transformers that is alive and has feelings and stuff. … maybe its mad at you… have you been feeding it that cheap gasoline?.. common its an integra not a civic! dont feed it that crapy gas! it deserves better. but seriously i dont know what the problem can be… maybe bad ground?.. well let us know if u figure it out cuz i have never heard of a problem like this before… i wish my DA was alive… ur DA is truely special!

Hold the metal frame of the door while getting out and continue to hold it until you have touched the ground.

A static charge is built up between you and the car from sitting in the seat, when you leave the seat you take 1/2 the charge with you, up to 10,000 volts can be “generated” it discharges as your hand approaches metal, you can also try touching the glass before touching metal, or touch metal, [key cylinder] with the key, you will still see the ark but you will not feel it.:cross:94

Something milder happens in my grandmas accord. I just close the door with my elbow.

lol, i read somewere that the older mx-3’s had a peice of rubber on there door to stop that problem. well because of static elcectricity. if thats wat is causing it

sounds ilke a good excuse to get a grounding strap to hang from your car.
