car stuttering on acceleration - Help Please

My car is havin’ serious issues during low RPM acceleration. I try to release the clutch fully around 1000 RPM’s, and sometimes it’ll spit and sputter with full gas, no clutch from 1000 to 2000 RPM’s. I don’t notice it at all when i’m in the higher RPM range(above 2500). Also, my car isn’t starting so well either. Just cranks for 3-7 seconds. I’m assuming it’s fuel related, but don’t have any idea how to check any of the components in the fuel system. It’s a bone stock b18(removed resonator, and advanced timing ~18 degrees) fuel filter was replaced a year and a half ago, and that was also the last time i ran some fuel system cleaner through it.

EDIT - It also hasn’t idled consistantly since I’ve owned it(year and a half). Every once in a while the tach will stay put, but it fluctuates between 300(almost stalls), and 900 at the worst times. I’ve seen some posts sayin’ “it’s a honda thing”, and the like, but what could cause this?(new distributor, cap, and rotor 9 months ago)

Any suggestions where to start? Thanks,

Brian

change your O2 sensor; that will most likely be it. (stuck into the side of your exhaust manifold.)

is there anyway to check that? That’s what i thought it was before when my car would stumble around 4000 rpm’s, but it ended up bein’ the distributor. Plus those things are like 150 bucks from autozone. thanks,

Brian

Don’t rule out an ignition problem either.
My old 200SX used to have big problems accelerating until I replaced the plug wires and distributor cap & rotor.
