i relocared the battery to the back of the car… i get all the power threw the car and everything but yet will the starter motor make any noise once so ever or anything any body have any idea what it could be?
Need more info…
MM&Y of car, auto or standard?
How is the batt. connected, where is the batt. ground going and where is the batt. pos.(+) going?
What kind of fuse/breaker, [type and size] are you using and where is it located?
What gauge is the power and ground cable?94
1992 integra rs with b16 in it… battery is in the trunk now…power line 2g wire… break ius in the back… batter is grounded in the trunk. i get all power thew the car and to the starter. but wont crank. all my lights are on in my dash besides the check engine light… =/
What I mean is where is the, [2ga] cable connected at the engine, should be to the starter motor with an 8ga running from the starter motor to the engine bay fuse box, [same location as original batt. lead was connected].
If it is wired that way, try a bypass jump, using a jumper lead, [12ga min.] jump from the starter motors batt. terminal to the starter solenoids input terminal, BE CAREFUL engine will crank even if ign. switch is off and car is in gear.
If it is not wired that way, [batt. to starter motor/starter motor to fuse box] then it should be rewired that way, it is the best way to do it, least amount of connections.:whisper:94
thanks guys for uur help i got that starter to work now there is no spark!!!
First, what was the fix for the starter?
Do you still have a chassis to engine ground?
If not, you should, it should be the same gauge, [or thicker] as the batt. ground cable.
Have you checked to see if the distributor assembly has power, [12V+ on black/yellow lead when ign. switch is in run or start]?
You said the batt. was grounded in the trunk, where exactly in the trunk and how was the ground connected?94
i ran a ground up to the block ffrom the battery with battery guage wire…but now it cranks but no spark comming from §§§§§ at all!!!
You have the batt. grounded in the trunk and you ran a ground from the batt. to the engine?
Does that mean you do not have a chassis to engine ground?

That did not answer my questions other then the the fix for starter motor was grounding.
Still need to know where and how batt. is grounded in the trunk.
Still need to know if there is a chassis to engine ground.
Still need to know if there is 12V+ at the Distributor assembly.
You need to answer all questions as accurately as you can or we will be playing post tag for days.
Without more info my guess is that there is a problem with grounding.
Keep in mind when batt. is in stock location there is a single ground cable that runs from the batt. to the chassis and continues on to the engine, [batt. to chassis ground, chassis to engine ground.
Running a ground from the batt. to the block solves the problem of batt. to engine ground but not the batt. to chassis ground, and depending on where and how the batt. is grounded in the trunk will determine how good the batt. to chassis ground is and how far “removed” it is from all the cars harness grounds, [mostly to chassis at the front of the car].
Although grounding may not be the problem, your batt. ground should be as short as possible, it needs to be properly connected to the frame rail or cars floor pan, [either one is better then the 2ga ground cable you have run to the block] you then need to run a ground from chassis to engine, [2ga] it can run from the stock location on chassis to stock location on engine, [transaxle] or from any point on the frame rail in the engine bay to the engine, [transaxle]. 94
i have a ground from my battery going up and grounded to the trans and theres another ground off into the trunk… i tihnk its the re bumber bolt it is grounded to… i belive there was 12v going to the distrtib… im gunan try to buy a new destrib and see if it works…
If your question is now about spark, then continue from your other thread.

You do not need multiple threads asking about the same issue. :bang:
