hey guys/girls i tried to start my car up and it cranks but won’t start…I own a 1990 Integra Ls with a b20b engine…I checked my ECU to see what code it’s flashing and it’s telling me it’s my O2 sensor because it only flashed once. Would this cause my car not to start!? At first i thought it was a main relay issue so I went and got a new one and it still would start…then I thought it might be the distributor ,the one i had was in bad looking condition so I went and purchased a new since it was overdue anyway, however my car still won’t start. I’m baffled right now and could use some help as this is my daily driver. Thanx in advance
well three things to always check for with a case like this…spark, fuel, and compression. do you have the spark plug wires in the right hooked up correctly, or maybe you arent getting power to the distributor at all, when you turn the key to on do you hear the fuel pump turn on?..its like a humming sound
. and for compression…if you have a compression tester just go through each cylinder to see if there is any at all.iw ould check this stuff first before spending any more money than is needed
other than that…if you have a test light you can check fuses to weed out one that may be bad, did the car just quit starting all of a sudden? hope you find the poblem. if i think of anything else ill be sure to letyou know. good luck

Thanks chip p I do have spark so the distributor is fine, and spark plug wires are in the correct sequence after rattling my brain I have pin pointed the problem to be the fuel pump so I am gonna have to wait until Saturday to drop my fuel tank and double check my fuel pump could be something simple as a loose wire/connection if not I will replace the pump with a new one and see if that fixes my problem…I will let you know
so when you turn the key to the second position you dont hear and humming sound of th fuel pump? and to pull it you dont need to drop the tank. its right under the back seat.
if im remembering correctly.
It might be the main relay, not the fuel pump that’s the problem…
yea but he already tried replaced that
