distributor
thanks
“distributor”
lol
95% of “car not starting” threads on our cars are caused by bad distributors.
Dont try replacing parts, just get a good one you KNOW that works and you should be good.
yep. probably due to all the shitty distributors sold out there
That combined with the fact that distributors (especially cheap aftermarket ones) are the most susceptible to rises in underhood temps.
Our cars run pretty hot as it is, so when they are pushed or run for long periods in the hot summer heat (as well as when we replace headers with aftermatket ones, add turbos or remove heat shields) the soft plastics and electronic connections inside the distributors are the first things to go.
so i bought a new distributor and still have a CEL on…i disconnected the battery for a while but still on…help?
in order to reset the ecu you have to pull the fuse under the hood for 30 seconds. Can’t remember which one, but I remember it being right next to the Hazard one or something. Maybe someone else can chime in and tell you for sure.
tried that and CEL is still on…brand new dist.
