:hi5:
Brackets are back from the machine shop and I think they look great, having the corners radiused makes all the difference IMO.
Iām guestimating that the zinc plating process should be finished in about a week. Assuming the hardware and other misc bits come in on time I should be able to start shipping by the end of next week.

They already look way better than the other 3 sets i have LOL
cant wait man!
Looking good!
the clear coat on my wing is starting to peel
Can you post pictures?
Time for color match
Itāll look sooo much better
I personally donāt like carbon fiber and the first thing I was going to do when Iām ready to put mine on is sand and prep for color match.
But yea, I can understand your fury. Bright side is that you gotten yours months ago, and for me its just a tease to see you guys getting yours first lol
Wow, that didnāt take long Did you wax it before you put it on the car?
ouch, post pics of the clear fading!
Wanted to give everyone an update. Thank you all for being so patient. For some reason dealing with the platers this time around is a hassle. The last batch I had them do went really quick, 3 day turn around. Our brackets have now been there for over a week and they still arenāt done. First they said that the brackets were galvanized steel and needed to be tumbled before plating (an extra cost) even though the machine shop ensured me that they were standard cold rolled steel. And now theyāre just lagging. I wonāt bore you guys with more details or my rantingā¦ Iām hoping Iāll be able to get these by the end of the week but itās really up to them at this point. The gasket material and set screws are here just waiting so once I get the brackets back I just need to run a tap thru all the holes to ensure the threads are clean then box and ship. So now with the delay from the platers Iām thinking Iāll be shipping sometime next week.
As always feel free to get in touch with me if you have any questions, otherwise Iāll continue to update as thereās news. And again, thanks for all of your patience.

Colin, can i get pictures of how the gasket looks like?
is it sticky on either side?
Also thanks for the update!! These brackets make me want to daily my Hiro wing:drool:
Thank you for the update Colin !
I donāt have any pics, but itās this stuff: http://www.amazon.com/Fel-Pro-3075-Gasket/dp/B000C2G5ZA
The gray/black stuff I have pictured in my prior posts is not made for wet applications. The Rubber Cellulose linked above is for stuff like thermostat housings so itās durable enough to handle liquids. I think this is a necessity since itās used on the exterior of the car which will be exposed to water for most of us. Iām not a fan of the color but as long as itās trimmed properly you wonāt see any of it exposed.
Itās not sticky, so I would suggest using spray adhesive to stick it to your wing before mounting.

awesome!! i dont care about it being stick, was just very curious. Cant wait.
Anyone wanna sell their wing let me know !
Good newsā¦brackets are done! Phew, feels like this took forever, and the zinc process was a nightmare - but the good news is that Iām really happy with the result, so hopefully you guys are too.
Hereās a quick shot I snapped this morning after I got the brackets back
I still need to run a tap thru all of the holes to make sure the threads are clean, cut the gasket material, box and ship everything. Iād like to have everything shipped by Saturday at the latest.
Amazing Colin ! Im so excited man !!!
Heck yes!!
Yeah, Iām really happy with the zinc, well worth all the trouble. For me the zinc makes it look like a legit part and not just something someone fabbed up in their basement.
