Thought I’d post up my impressions about carbotech bobcat brake pads on a 90 GS. These are Carbotech’s street compound.
Overall a very nice upgrade from the stockers. I can get the ABS to engage now.
The pedal feel is significantly improved over stock and so is modulation. You still have the initial slack from the ABS compliance in the first part of the pedal stroke, but afterward it is much more linear than the stockers.
Highly recommended.
I have run Hawk HPS, Carbotech Panther + and Wilwood BP10 and 20 on my Subaru and I definitely like Bobcats on the teg best for the street. It doesn’t hurt that the teg weighs 600 lbs less than the scoob of course.
