Carphone antenna GO AWAY

Remember in the early 90s when to have a cellphone in your car you needed another antenna? Good times.
Well my new palmy blue friend has some back end clutter including a cell antenna mounted on the rear hatch through the glass.
It’s airtight but when i remove it there will be a small hole drilled through it.
What should i use to fill the glass and prevent stress from splitting the glass (spiderwebbing)?

How sure are you that there is a hole in the glass? Most antennas transmit through the glass without having to drill into it, which would require a special drill bit to even drill through.

there is a plug the same size as the exterior base inside the glass with the actual antenna cable leading to it.
You could be right but i thought that if you ran a cable all the way from the dash to the rear hatch you wouldnt just glue both sides to the same point.
Would you?
Who the hell had a carphone installed?

I’m pretty sure there is no hole in the glass. I have never heard on an aftermarket antenna kit that requires you to drill thru the glass. The antenna base and the inside transmitter is probably stuck on the glass with double-sided tape. Even my 2004 Cadillac SRX has this type of antenna, which is used for OnStar communications.

thanks.
Pulled it today, i wonder what gung they used to stick it on because it took 30 minutes with razor and flathead to pull that thing.

And I don’t think you can drill through tempered safety glass.
