Hello Members, I know this has been covered several times, I looked and could not find anything for this fix, if someone has a fix please let me know !

I have a 90 DA with a JDM OBD1 B16 swap, with obd0-obd1 conversion harness, well I keep getting code 15 which is ignition output signal, I hear that what is causing that issue is the ignitor in the distributer, the dist is not OEM if some off brand from ebay, that was put on by the previous owner of the motor, well I re crimped the ends in the distributer since they were a little loose, and the code was gone, then all of a sudden it came back haha, is there an easy fix for this issue or should I just replace the ignitor, I get the same code with the JDM ECU and a different ECU aswell

Okay so i had this same problem but im obd0 original motor first i replaced the ignition coil…still had the problem…my car would jus shut off randomly…then i replaced the ignitor…was good for about a month then problem came backk…thenn i gave upp and jus changed the whole distributor and now im goood 3months problem free… So im guessing its your distributor if your harnesses are obd1 for a odb1 distributor you know thats not the problem…those ignitors tend to fail after a while in the aftermarket distributors THEY OVERHEATT…i would go to a junkyard and juss swap the distriubotr before you buy it and see if the code goes away

thats what I was thinking too, non oem electronics can be bad sometimes, thanks for the repy I appreciate it very much !
