I wanted to know if the Factory Acura Center Arm Rest comes with a cup holder or not. These are the arm rests that are a dealer option. I have heard of an aftermarket arm rest that does come with a cup holder but heard that it’s not as nice. I’ve never seen them before so I don’t really know what they look like. If anyone can post a pitcure of the Acura one, that would be great. Thank you in advance.
i dont have a picture of mine but it looks god (like it goes there) and it does have a cup holder. dont try and put a slurpee or big gulp in it though.
Well, I have the factory armrest and it had a real shitty cup holder that folded out when you opened up the armrest. It didn’t hold anything, was inconvienient , flimsy and took up most of armrest’s interior room.
Needless to say it was trashed long ago.
Hmm… One says it’s ok, and the other says it sucked. What do I do now? Anyone else have anything to add with their own experiences? So the cup holder folds out of the arm rest itself so it takes away from the compartment in the arm rest. Does this cupholder get in the way of shifting? It’s pretty much right above the hand brake right?
If someone could post a picture, it would really help me out.

The cup holder does suck. But I just got my dremel and cut out the bottom out so the cup goes all the way through. Other wise the cup only sits in there about a half an inch or less.
Having a cup holder is better than having no cup holder. I use my centre console cup holder occasionally and I find that it gets the job done on short trips. If you have wider cups, just make sure that you don’t take your corners too hard.
You could always do the Taurus-cup holder conversion if you can’t find one of these OEM consoles.
So does any one have a clue where we can get the replacment arm rest for out tegs, I have one and it is in bad condition, I would like to replace it , I don’ t remember what forum the site link was on OEM parts 4 our teg are…

I tried getting the factory armrest from A&H Motorsport but they don’t carry it anymore. I also tried Carland Acura and no luck there either.
Does anyone know where we can get the facotry armrest from?
Also I found the JDM one on e-Bay but it won’t work since the US spec cars have the lap belts.

thread back from the dead after four years…ok get this, there is a replacement for the cupholder if yours is trashed. The question is if it is worth it to order from your dealer…

That bulletin is from 1992 and the part number doesn’t come up on any of the Acura parts places.
if I found the replacement part for 15 would it be worth it? I already have the Taurus cup holders.

wow, yours is much cooler than mine. to use the cup holders in mine, I have to flip open the armrest (top part) and the cups just sit there. I dont’ use it now because without the holder part (most of these are broke) the drinks will just go flying. Wondering if anyone has that style that is still intact and if it works well.
