Who would you say makes the best cf hoods?? My battery blew up and a car accident a month later … I need a new hood… I want to get something not stock design, something that looks kinda good.

VIS racing makes better hoods than Fiber Images. I had a fiber images hood, and it fit like crap. I’ve seen a few of the new VIS racing CF hoods on a few civics. they are much better quality then my fiber images hood.

It’s funny to hear the same stories about both hoods. Some people think the FI hood is the best, others think it’s VIS.
I guess you really need to go down to a shop and take a look at it for yourself instead of buying online.
I would prefer the VIS hood over the FI hood. I recently went to VIS to check out their hoods, and they are better quality. VIS hood have rolled edges, whereas FI hoods are cut.

A lot of guys on clubsi swear by BodyKitsNW CF hoods. Big strong weave and perfect fit from what i hear.
Inline four by far is the best quality, just a pretty penny

Please do not buy a FIBER IMAGES hood, I have one, IT FITS LIKE $HIT. Talk about disappointment. People probably just say they’re the best cuz they made the first few really good quality, but now they are CRAP!! I have one and I’m going back to stock soon most likely, it fits so bad it’s embarrassing.:mad:
I’ve seen a G3 w/VIS hood, it looked beautiful, if I could do it again I would buy their hood.
ok so no go on the fiber images… is it absolutely necessary to use hoodpins? lately on all the cars that had cf hoods, only a few if that many actually had hoodpins. Is it becuase the technology is better now and you just dont need them?

i ordered mine on yesterday (tuesday). i saw one at the shop, but it was for a g3. man it was soooooooooooo nicely made:drool: their CF hoods look really good. i guess the rolled edges give it the better look and quality all around:D
I have a ViS invader hood. Fits perfectly even with my Z3 fenders. I have seen CF hoods of other companies. No comparison, ViS his all hand laid CF with rolled edges, So sweet.

oh no, hood pins are fully functional, maybe you are thinkin of the ones thatare solely for cosmetic purposes that just stick onto the hood
