changing timing belt on b16

got a b16 to do my swap and I am changing the timing belt, along with the water pump, timing belt tensioner pulley. well I have finally got that stupid crankshaft pully bolt off!!! now the problem… trying to remove the bolt on the belt tensioner I stripped the damn. anyone have any suggestions on how to get it off and when I do get it off, where do I get a replacment. thanks for any help.

if it’s already stripped, then you can try this: if the bolt is sticking out a little then get the robogrip pliers from sears or channel lock pliers and try that. If it still doesn’t work, then get a size 11mm socket (if I remember that bolt is 12mm, right?) and hammer it in, not too hard were you f0ck up the motor, if you can, all the way. The bolt is softer than the socket. Then with the rachet, push inwards while pushing down. Or look for a torque punch (I’m so sorry, I can’t remember the exact name of that tool, I’m drunk now) It looks like a really fat screwdriver that you attach a socket to and you hammer it, as you hammer it, it twists in the direction you set it to. Just get a new bolt from honda, tell them del sol motor.

You can also just get a drill and drill the center out of it. Once you get the head of the bolt off then pulley will slide right off and you should be able to take the remaining shaft of the bolt out by hand. At most, you would need a pair of pliers to unscrew it.
After that, just go to honda and get a new bolt.

thanks you guys… I used a good pair of vise-grips, squeezed that s.o.b. tight as hell then tapped the grips with a hammer till it loosened up. definately need to get a new bolt though. thanks again… should be ready to start my swap this weekend… wish me luck
