After I changed my oil and accidentally broke my speedometer cable when taking out my cluster, the check engine light is on after driving for a few minutes. all fluid level are good, no over heat after 30 miles of driving, everything seems normal as before. any clue what can be wrong? thanks for any help.
I did a little research and found that the check engine light is probably related to my broken speedo cable. Since the vehicle speed sensor is located on the back of the cluster and it generates 4 pulses per pseedo cable rev. (according to Helm manual), I am probably getting a code 17 for vehicle speed sensor problem.
