I’d recommend that you replace those springs as soon as possible. Heating the coils to collapse them WILL weaken the spring. Factory springs (OEM or aftermarket) are very precisely hardened and tempered. Heating them with a torch is essentially destroying the temper. Don’t be surprised if those springs eventually sag further, compress unevenly, or break.
Cutting springs is a bit better, provided it’s done carefully, because it’s more controllable and it’s possible to do so without much heat input (assuming one uses a cutoff wheel instead of a torch).
Leave the spring heating trick for the demo derby and enduro drivers. Be safe…
the heated springs are not permanent…funds are low right now

I actually got them from a CRX at the junkyard…i think it had a jdm bumper but im not too sure…and they actually light up
ouch, damage dosnt look to bad that a new fender and corner lamp would fix.

anyone know what something like this might cost to repair? just a ball park estimate
$20 bucks at any muffler shop, you might get lucky and find one thats cool enuff, where you can just put $20 in his pocket and he’ll do it for free
