im planning on buying used struts.what i need to know is how can you check if its dead or not…what do i have to do… thanks…
honestly, put them in the car and push down on it. if it jounces more than twicw its dead. i have no idea how to check one out of the car. every inspection station in PA uses the push on it method.

to check off teh car… compress it while its by itself… no spring… if it doesnt coem out… then your flucked…
This isnt true.
If the shock is not gas charged this wont happen. Also it may come out just fine but the damping could still be f00ked.
true… well all in all… i wouldnt suggest buying used shocks…
