Hi. Can someone please write a small tutorial on how to check if the timing belt is off a notch with some details, including what tools I need to do this. Thank you.
The first thing that you need to do is check out the teg tips section of this site. It has a very informative excerpt from the helms manual on how to adjust your valves and advance your timing.
You will need a timing light and that information to check your timing. That will tell you if your timing is off right there. It will also tell you how to set your motor to TDC. That will also tell you if your timing it right.
