Hey guys, so I’ve noticed this chirping noise around the passenger axle side. It is speed related, it chirps faster at higher speed. Doesn’t really make the sound when at a full stop, occasionally it will make the sound when stopping briefly. So i replaced the entire passenger axle anyways since i’ve been getting this leak, thinking it was my axle seal. Turns out axle seal is fine so I didn’t replace that(wouldn’t fit anyways). Oh and my CV boot was torn before too. I thought this replacement would fix this noise but turns out it didn’t. Still chirps at same rate, i think its a little quieter but still a nuisance. Is this a lack of lubrication? loose part? I’ve heard vaccuum leaks can cause some chirping sounds. I don’t think its a belt since it’s coming from the right side, i could be wrong though.
Oh and idk if my transmission is not stock or the auto store did me wrong, but the axle and seal weren’t the same as what I had. The axle was only like 1/2 inch shorter on the outer side but it fit nice and snug( is this bad, doesn’t look like it leaks and car drives fine) .the axle seal wasnt the right size either so I didn’t use that and just stuck with what I have in it. How can I determine what tranny I have? I bought the car some-what modified. Only numbers I found was the sticker on the top of the tranny near the engine stamp. A1-1042192
