Although its probably the first time I’ve ever had a muddy teg let alone take pics of it… he would have wanted this. My pics will never be as good as his and I’m sure my teg will never look the same in pictures >_<
Chris bled for my teg so my teg can bleed for Chris. It wouldnt even be on the road if it wasnt for him. I just cant believe this has happened… and +1 Steve I think he would love to see one more g2 meet looking down on us as we say goodbye
I only had a few dealing with him on the site and via email but his intelligence and aptitude was clearly evident that he was participating to share and learn as well as a person who seemed to be a genuinely nice guy. This is not a feeling that you usually sense from a person in a public forum in which people hide behind user names and can be whomever they choose but Chris was clearly different then most.
My prayers and thoughts are with his family and friends…
Now that a day has passed since I found out one of our forum’s nicest and coolest guys (and one of the first to help me on the forums) was swept away in a river in BC, i can say this. Yesterday, I couldn’t find the words.
Chris, wherever you are, rest in peace. I’ll leave my lights on for you, my friend. You will be greatly missed.
Thanks Riley for posting the G2 search party pics. Even that tree frog liked G2’s! I wish we had better luck. Chris would have smacked me if he saw my XSi so muddy. Sorry buddy, I did it all for you. I hope you’re in a better place now.
As for a memorial meet and cruise, I’m in for sure!!! Maybe we should also have a memorial dinner too? I’m in Westbank so it would be nice to cruise on a weekend so I dont have to work. Maybe somebody local could post a new topic where we can organize a meet?

Ye for sure. Was thinking of this too. But should give it time. I don’t think it’s really even set in for a lot of people yet.
I’m down, without a doubt. As you mentioned, when the time is right
My condolences to the Vang Family, friends and to you DA6. It’s never fair when we lose a member of our extended family but obviously God needed another pit crew member and it seems he got a great one, godspeed Christopher Vang!
You know I’m always in for a meet and what a better reason to come together. To celebrate chris’ life as his passion for G2’s showed in everything he did. He is sadly missed by me and all of us. I’m still having good days and bad days coming to terms with all of this. He was taken away from us too early and it’s upsetting.
I mainly lurk on here, but Chris and I spoke on HT a few times - I just want to say that I am so sorry to hear of this awful news, it’s such a tragic loss of a genuinely nice guy.
Reading this thread has brought a tear to my eye… my sincerest condolances to those close to him. Such a shame.
