Christopher Vang Missing (90_DA)

:frowning:

I’m glad they found him. Rest In Peace, Chris. G2IC misses you, and we’ll never forget you.

Glad to hear that he was found. may he rest in peace…
they found him, search is off. I’ll update as I see more on the Facebook page.
So sad.
how’d you find out? and were you helping out?

I just found out about the whole thing! Makes me feel like I a take life for granted, we never know what the universe has in store for us. My condolences to his friends and family…

RIP Chris, you will be missed!

Another G2ic member posted this up on my f.b. It is a terrible thing to lose a life,I never met the guy but from what I have read from all the posts he looked to be one the great people that will be missed.may he rest in peace and i hope his family can pull through this tragedy.

Paolo,

I found out because Song Vang sent a message on the Facebook group about it. They are getting the details and so forth. My guess is that the family needs to take care of it first before everyone should know about it. The search is off and Song messaged and said they found him last night around 7pm. I believe they are not letting details out to get the right words for everyone to hear.

I don’t know what else to say. Last night I saw a thread of Chris and his brother Mike cruising the sea to sky. It was sad to see those pics and realize that he is gone.

I’ll keep G2ic posted. Steve, you are closer to the family than most of us, or Kyle. Can you guys fill us in or put up details on the memorial when the info is given. I know a lot of people in the 604 will come out for a memorial cruise as well.

I don’t know the details about the service, but Mike mentioned it will be October 16 and 17 in Abbotsford … will post more details (or Mike will) when I know more. Let’s get out and support the Vang family and friends with a cruise for Chris!

On another note, usually a forum will create some sort of fund to support the family of the fallen member. I am going to create a thread that will hopefully be sticked in General Discussion where we can donate preferably parts (or money if you can’t send or don’t have a part to send) … Chris has left behind 5 Integras that Mike and Jon are determined to finish for him, so the idea here is to help them with this task. This will also give them a chance to keep this tragedy off their minds, as for many of us working on our cars is a way to keep busy and release frustrations we experience in life.

what a guy chris was lol… 5 integras… 4 that were xsis… just goes to show how much he loved the cars. who else can say they have 5 integras!

im gonna miss him so much its gonna be hard doing anything to my car without him… and when i have problems im gonna be beside myself because he was always there ready to help me. but now im determined to be the master of integras like he was! ill be on here all the time

the support you guys are giving is amazing and chris would be so happy to see the 604 crew all reunited. lets break g2ic history for chris <3

UPDATE:
Mike just gave me the info for the memorial service:

Sunday, October 16 8am-12am(midnight) - visitation period to pay respects to Chris.
Monday, October 17 8am-12pm(noon) - visitation, and after 12pm the procession and burial.

Paolo, are you arranging the meet thread? If so the Sunday is a better day, as more members should be able to make it. If not let me know and I can post a meet thread.
Both will be held at:
Woodlawn Funeral Home
2310 Clearbrook Road
Abbotsford, BC

are they fine with the potentially large group of people? If so post the meet post.

I’m going to try my best to make it to the Sunday memorial service on the 16th.

Erwin (platinumg2) just texted me and I Kia read the entire thread.

This is seriously sad. I hope his family and friends are doing ok.

I have made him parts before and have talked with him over email multiple times

Rest in piece

Bryan

I just heard the news, I was just talking to him about buying his latest XSI. This is sad…he was a true master of the Integra and a great friend. RIP Chris you’ll be missed by everyone :frowning:

I wish I still had my integra…I was getting a cellphone again as soon as I could, I know you were asking if I had got one since I came back from AUS.

I’m looking for a new G2 and I will drive it in your honor bud.

I can’t find out shoot pictures from superstore from summer 2009, when I first got my Integram I’ve searched all over the forums and I can’t find them.

Just heard this through an ad on revscene. I remember him introducing himself at my first g2ic meet and I was really surprised that he had 2 XSi’s, let alone 4. He truly was a master and lover of g2 Integras.

RIP, Chris.

Have not been on the website for some time now and just now getting ahold of this. I am soo sorry for this loss in our community. My heart and prayers go out to his family and loved ones. Chris has had an impact on the G2IC community and his project cars are memoriable including Chris himself. Once again sorry for the late response during this sad time. May he walk along side God and his spirit live on. God bless

at least now the family has some closure. Condolences to the family.

RIP chris…knew this guy for years buying/trading DA parts…gonna miss him…glad they found ur body bro…

RIP Chris, your a great friend, and thanks for letting me sit in your XSI still makes me smile to this day that i got to.

Il miss you brother.

Hello to all, my name is Mike and I am Chris’ oldest brother, first off I want to thank all of you for your kind words. He was the best in all respects. They say the good die young, I really wish that was not true. As far as having a group of cars showing up that would be fine, there is a huge church parking lot that can be used, unfortunately not till after 1pm (church). I know in my heart he would love to see that. All are welcome to join us in remembering him and his wonderful life. We all are so fortunate to have had him in our lives. I only hope to have him as a brother again in my next life time. Thank you once again for all your kind words.

Vang family.

thanks for the update mike. We’re all sorry for your loss. We’ll set up something and try not to get in the way. It’ll be very respectful.

our thoughts go out to you and your family.
