I found an old thread about the armrest for a 92-95 civic fitting in our cars. I was wondeering if it will fit with auto seatbelts and also if there is a difference in dimensions between the jdm and usdm armrests for this civic. Also any pics would be great. And before you get to flaming, I searched and couldn’t find any pics that still worked.
why don’t u buy it and try it out? other armrest do work but u have to put screws/bolts in different locations or just about anywhere. or maybe u can consider buying an actual g2 armrest… would be a lot more convenient.
I already have a g2 armrest, and the civic armrest looks more comfortable and has more storage, so I’m just trying to figure out what I’m getting into before I go out and buy it. Seeing as others on this board have already taken that risk before me, why not ask, isn’t that what friends are for?
Dont have any pics but I do have one in my car. The screws that go into the floor are in the same spot. Just squeeze the two sides in a bit and slide it in between the automatic seatbelts. Looks alright and works great. I didnt have an armrest before so now it feels good. I say just get it. I am pretty sure you will like it.
hey bro, i sent you a email about your armrest.

Me?
oh no, i was talkin to whitelighting. im looking for a armrest to put in my car, i was wondering if he still had an extra one that he wanna sell?
sorry, I’ve only got the one that’s in my car right now. Won’t be forsale unless I decide to switch to the civic unit.
hmmm i didnt even know that teggy had an armrest…would it be in a way if u have a stick when u have to shift…i never seen one so i dont know anything about is it the one like minivans have it right next to the seat or is behind the ebrake and thats where u put ur hand on it…
avngrboy - what year Civic did you get the armrest from?
It was from a 92-95 civic.
Alright. Here are some pics. I was trying to upload them to the page but I have too many pictures uploaded to the g2ic website, so i went with photobucket. Let me know if you have any trouble looking at them. Also, I am working on my radio so the car is taken apart.
dang that looks comfortable. i need to find one soon. haha.
where is a good place to find one beside the junk yard? and some one said something about the tegs had an are rest where would i look to find one?
Was that an option on the 92-95 Civic or was it standard? Sorry, I stopped following the Civic after the previous generation.
Integras did have armrests, they were a rare factory option, and if you want one you’ll need to hit the junkyards and bring a rabbits foot or something with you, because I was lucky I found one, very lucky, and for $20 no less. I think I’ll just stick with the oem rest for now, but thanks for the pics.
Sorry, but no civic EG, integra DC2, or JDM/CDM integra DA armrest will work on USDM DAs unless you do the manual seatbelt conversion. It’s impossible to squeeze those armrests in between the USDM auto-belt reels. Anyone who tells you different is lying. I’ve tried them all to no avail. You have to get the USDM OEM armrest. It sits above the auto reels.

Just got your photo bucket to work. Those are Del Sol seats no? That may be why it stuffed in there. Either that or you cut the sides out to fit the reels.
As previously stated, i tried the others on my DA (with DA seats) & I even broke the DC2 one (pretty much the same dimensions as the EG) trying to get it to fit. Also when you put in the EG, DC2, etc. in place, you have a gap between the shifter console & the end of the armrest. This is because the DA E-brake cover slides under a slot on the shifter console. These all fall short. Get a USDM if you don’t want to mod/swap parts just get your armrest to fit.
BTW- the USDM DA armrest can be found periodically on Ebay, Craigs list, or right here in G2IC’s for sale section. I’ve located all interior colors too; including palmy blue. Aver. price is $50-200. Make sure its in good condition too. Ask for plenty of pics from all angles.

The sides are not stiff. They bend in so that is all I did. I agree with the space that it falls short from the armrest and were the shifter is. I will try to take some closer pics. I wanted to get a usdm armrest but there is a big price difference. I have seen them sell for an average of 80 and I bought that one from a junkyard for 16 bucks. I still plan to paint it black and cover the top with some black vinyl. Also, those are del sol seats.
so are we saying that the civic arm rest will fit with del sol seats and the auto seat belts?
the space under our e brake. it has some plastic trim, the civic arm rest looks like its own trim piece is to wide to match up with where ours cuts off to continue to the center console area.
avngboy, did you encounter this?
