i have an intake manifold in my celler that i want to clean up. the only things that are on it are the sensors, and the throttle body. i was thinking of spraying on some simple green, scrubing it a little and then takeing it to the local car wash and power washing it. is this safe to do with an im. i also want to clean out the runners so is it safe to spray simple green in them , scrub them and wash them out?

its safe, just remove all sensors, and id remove the throttle body too. and make sure you rinse it really, really well. and obviously allow it to dry before uising.

also throttle body cleaner is safe for sensors. don’t use 2+2 or any kind of carb. cleaner cause their harsher and can damage the sensors or plastic parts in the manifold, like the IAC vavle.
all right man thanks. i took the tb and the sensors off and cleaned the manifold a little while ago but i would still like to clean the sensors and the tb so i think i will get some of that stuff
