cleaning trunk carpet

this could sound dumb but would it be a good idea to put the trunk carpet in the washer machine and let it sun dry…

I suppose you could but it might come out all bent and distorted. Why don’t you just get heavy duty type carpet cleaner and go to town in the driveway?

Just lay the carpet flat on the driveway… use the detergent and scrub with brush then hose it all off and let air/sun dry. That’s what I would do if i were to clean the trunk carpet.

I use this for my interior carpets and seats and love it! Just spray and scrub… very easy. Get it at your local autoparts stores.

Take out the carpet and take it to your local " do it yourself " car wash. Then just pressure wash it real good. I’ve done that with interior carpet before, it did a great job.

but see the thing is that it has a few deep in stains on it. one person said shaving cream works good…

i use carpet shampoo for cars :S quite a few local shops do it too

invest in a good carpet cleaner/shampoo, spot shot has always worked realy well for me followed by some resolve carpet cleaner has taken some crappy tan carpet and made it look great.

depending on the stain if it grease try toothpaste an baking soda
