OK…i got grease stains all over my door panels and seat from working on my car going in/out. I have tan interior sooo… its bugging me, dont want to try and clean it and smear it all over making it worse. What i want to know is…what products do you guys use to get rid of grease stains? i have the tan tweed upholstery.
I got some axel grease on my trunk carpet and used the following method;
I bought some DeSolvIt at Target. Whatever you do, don’t rub the spot. Dab it or you will work the grease further into the carpet. Dab the DeSolvIt on the spot and just let it set about 10 to 15 minutes. Blot off what you can and reapply. When it is all off rinse well with a 30/70 vinegar and cool water solution. Don’t suse warm water.
Keep in mind that my trunk was Palmy Blue so the outcome could vary from yours. Good luck.
On a side note, do you race karts or just have one? I’ve raced for about 20 years.
thanks for the tip. yeah…i had an Invader sprint kart w/ blueprinted 100cc TKM rotary engine but i sold it. i would of loved to race but there are no classes for the motor. i wanted to get a 125cc shifterkart and go racing with it but…you know how it is, it takes alot of money just to get into the sport. But yeah…i love karting, nothing like pulling g’s out of the corner and the intensity of ‘battling’ on track. it’s funny though, those that dont know much about karting think nothing of it…but once you know what its all about, it’s a whole different world. What class did you race in?? you run sprint? oval? road race?
Not a problem. Let me know how it turned out. Pics
I raced everything from Emmick, Swiss Hutless, TOP, and CRG in sportsman, direct drive, 80cc, and 125cc.
