just wondering if anyone has ever got this stuff installed after a fresh paint job… i saw it in a car magazine i was some type of clear vinyl adhesive they put on after a fresh paint job it may be expensive but if it protects the paint from chips and scratches it may be worth the investment.
:sipread:
its made by 3M, the people who make scotchguard and most office tape that you see.
http://www.clearmask.com/ is a company that makes car specific kits.
you can also buy the film from 3M in sheets and cut it to fit.
it does protect your paint, i dont know how much it costs.
The cost is roughly around $500 installed. My buddy did it on his Beamer and it looks really nice… can’t even tell if it’s on unless you come real close to the hood/bumper.
Pretty sure the price varies depending on size of car and coverage…
ok nice well imma def get this installed and on the teg it should only cost like 3-400 well worth it imo
aww man they dont make a kit for our cars ill have to install it myself… oh well that just means i can prolly save some ones diy wise on the brite side
