Clear-WHITE/BLUE Smoke at times.... VALVE seals?????????????

sup G2ic.

searched and came to a conclusion that it might be my valve seals. JUST want to double check.

-Stock b18c, -no cat, -no check engine light, -idles fine. -no loss in power.

:ONLY SMOKES-when vtec engages
-when i come off free way and stop at light
-every now and then when i take off

  • I did replace a messed up pcv valve and sea foamed it. Yet it still smokes up. NOT as bad as when the messed up pcv valve was in, but some still.

thanks guys.

:stare:

Its normal for a little puff of smoke as Vtec cracks. Do a compression check if you think something might be wrong.
It might also be carbon buildup as well.

thanks man. doing a comp test tomorrow with friend. let ya know results.

The why

okay. did comp text. all good.
220 across.

did leak down test. all good.
no leakage what-so-ever.

so why do i get smoke?
well, turns out my oil rings on my pistons are giving out but hard to detect.
so i guess that bluish smoke at times is the result of piston rings going bad.

hope this helps some one else

Thanks for the update  There’re too many threads w/o an ending. Good luck getting it all worked out.
